The "Dragan Shuplevski" Choir has been a significant presence in the Macedonian music scene for a long period of time. In addition to its regular concerts, the choir has participated in several music projects at renowned festivals such as “May Opera Evenings”, “Interfest”, “Nish Choral Festivities”, “Ohrid Summer Festival”, and “Autumn Musical Festivities”, among others.
Its repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to the present day, including not only a cappella works but also compositions with instrumental accompaniment. The choir has been particularly highly praised for its annual sacred music concerts held at the “St. Clement” Macedonian Orthodox Church and the “Holy Heart of Jesus” Catholic Church in Skopje.
The choir comprises students aged 18–24, which gives the ensemble its recognizable energy and liveliness. The choir performs in both mixed and women’s formations.
Several TV and radio broadcasts, as well as two CD recordings, have been made from the annual sacred music concerts. Over the past fifteen years, under the leadership of its current conductor, Prof. Sasho Tatarchevski, the choir has been a regular participant in international competitions and festivals, winning numerous awards.
