The University Orchestra of the Student Culture Centre of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań is a student art group of musicians - instrumentalists. The orchestra has been active within the CKS (Student Culture Centre) since 2014.
The orchestra has carried out a number of concert programmes including classical music as well as lighter genres of string music. On the 100th anniversary of the University of Life Sciences (2019), the orchestra released its first CD of music by Corelli and Carols by Jan Maklakiewicz arranged for strings by its conductor. The cooperation with the “Fermata” Choir of the University of the Arts results in annual performances of vocal and instrumental works (Mozart, Pergolesi, Vivaldi); the orchestra has participated in UAP (University of the Arts Poznan) musical events including All Souls’ Day at the centenary of UAP and Museum Night where it performed "Little Scroll" and "The Fifth Scroll" by Piotr Bosacki.
The ensemble invited the dancers from the Wielkopolska Club of Polish Dances, also operating within the Student Culture Centre, to record a film together in order to support the idea "Polonaise Unites." They performed M.K. Oginski's Polonaise. The orchestra can also be heard in a slightly lighter repertoire, performing music by Leroy Aderson, Astor Piazzolla or Goran Bregović.
Since October 2017, the conductor of the ensemble has been Dr. Matthew MJ Sibilski.
