The Academic Choir „Coro Da Camera” of the Poznan University of Life Sciences, conducted by
dr. Barbara Dąbrowska-Silska is an international group of students from the University of Life
Sciences. The current team has been in place since October 2022, when the choir reactivated after a
period of pandemic and joined by a group of Nigerian students. The diverse repertoire allows each
chorister to feel comfortable in the pieces created.
Apart from concert activity in Poland, the Academic „Coro Da Camera” of the Poznan University of Life Sciences has also performed in Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Spain and Lithuania. Each subsequent stage of its activity has brought successes at choral festivals. In recent years these have included: participation in the XII and XIII International Festival “Universitas Cantat” (2015 and 2017) and a Silver Diploma at the 2nd Baltic Choir Competition “Pomerania Cantat” in Slupsk (2016). In September 2018, the ensemble participated in the 8th Canto Mediterranea International Choral Competition in Lloret de Mar, Spain, where it was particularly successful, winning two Gold and two Silver Diplomas – in each musical category in which it performed. The ensemble has recorded several albums, including Antonio Vivaldi's Magnificat and Carl Jenkins' Requiem (a joint performance with the Choir of the Wielkopolska Chamber of Physicians and the Symphony Orchestra of the POSM II).
