The Chamber Choir of the University of Zielona Góra Cantus humanus was established in 2015 as a result of the merger of two ensembles: the Polish Chamber Choir Cantus Polonicus and Vox humana, which took part in the performance of the J. F. Haendel Messiah Oratory in Zielona Góra. The group's goal is to perform sacred works as part of the Magna Opera Sacra series. In the following years, Cantus humanus, together with the Arte dei Suonatori orchestra, performed both Passions, Lutheran Mass in A major and the Great Mass in B minor by J. S. Bach, Vesperae Solennes de Confessore and Requiem by W. A. Mozart in a lesser-known arrangement by R. Maunder. In 2021, the ensemble took part in the XXX Gaude Mater International Festival of Sacred Music, performing two Masses by St. Moniuszko from the Jasna Góra collection.
